Taking a break.

I am taking a little break from the preparations for tomorrow. Almost done. All there is to do tomorrow is make the deserts and salads and set up the yard.

I thought I give you a little preview of what we will have!
All is home made from scratch.
Hawaiian shrip-chebabs:

Seasoned with pepper and sea salt

Regular veggie shrimp-chebabs:

 Also seasoned with pepper and sea salt

Rainbow trout, we only got one:

 The trout will be steamed on the BBQ in the foil. Sooo good, with lemon, onion, salt, pepper and a bit of rosemary!
Lavender for lemonade (in the background you can see the watermelon I carved like a whale to hold the fruit salad):

There will also be ribs, hot dogs, burgers and a bit of chicken. A friend is going to bring some oisters. My home made salads: noodle salad, potato salad, cucumber salad. Desert (will be made tomorrow morning):white chocolate mousse, strawberry-cheese cake. Then there is also: home made -dips, -BBQ sauce, and -bread (in the oven now).
And chips, but I did not make those, so I won’t count them.

Picture of the whole set up will follow tomorrow evening or on Monday. 🙂

  1. OMG are you going to feed a whole army?! You have food for my whole extended family (we are at least 130, by the way…)Everything sounds and looks delicious!!!Have a happy 4th of July!

  2. Well it sounds like a lot, but it really isn't that much… I guess you have to see the portions LOL.I should have made some apple pie too, but didn't think of it…
