Hey guys! It’s FRIDAY! YAYYYYY!
Remember Christiane from a few weeks ago? Well this wonderful, sweet, talented lady has a wonderful and talented fiancée, to whom I will introduce you today!
I started beading around the age of 8 after having joined a group of Pow Wow dancers that were part of the Boys Clubs of America. I’d always been interested in Native American things so it seemed natural that I got into beading and the Pow Wow.
I’ve always created variations of Native American style designs in belts, arm bands, the usual “gear” you wear at a Pow Wow. It’s only been recently that I’ve started branching out into a more Rock and Roll motif with flags, skulls and various other designs (including cats and aliens) on earrings, cuffs and barrettes. Currently I’m loom beading, but I also know lazy stitch and applique techniques.
In keeping with the Rock and Roll, all my barrettes are backed with black leather recycled from a pair of pants that I wore for decades to many old school punk shows. The pants have “seen” the likes of The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Ramones, Misfits, Social Distortion, Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion and a slew of others over the years.
I am in the process of setting up an Etsy page and my own website so keep an eye out for them both!!
There you have it! I will add Rob’s etsy shop link right here to the feature once it is set up! Just thought I let you know all about him right now, before his jewellery becomes the “next hot thing” and it’s going through the roof. This way you can beat the rush, get yours now and say: I knew him when! hahahaha. If you do fall in love with anything you see in the feature, let me know and I will glad ly pass it along to Rob. So order away!
My featured artists will go on to be featured on three more blogs this month. First on Louise’s blog, then on Karen’s blog, and then on the Indie Mosaic blog! So you get maximum exposure! Since we all do different things you will reach different readers on each of our blogs and you really get your name out there! It’s really great. And best of all: It’s free! If you enjoyed reading this and want to be featured yourself, or know of someone that you think should be featured, please let me know through an email, or a comment on this post, or send me a message on FB.
