Feature Friday! ALICE SCHOLZE FROM CALIFORNIA CUSTOM CRAFTS

I met Alice over on Listia! We got together on FB as well and now I could not imagine my timeline without her updates in it! We figured out we both were from Germany and even from places not too far apart at that! We have done a few trades and talked about so many things. She makes THE CUTEST baby and reborn doll outfits you could imagine! I swear, there is a serious danger of you squeeeeee-ing all through this feature! She has sold on ebay for the longest time and now made the jump to etsy. So we thought it is time to do this thang….

Here she is now:

Hi Everybody! My name is Alice and I’m a Knitaholic! I am a working mom of a girl (8) and a dog (5), married for 10 years now.

My addiction started when I was 10 years old and my mom showed me the basics in Knitting and Crocheting. I started making clothing for my plushies and went up to knitting for my family.

A few years ago when I got my little babygirl, I started knitting baby clothes. Later on I started selling them on eBay and found out that there was a great demand for handknit baby wear and Reborn clothing and so I got my first custom orders.Since then I knit and crochet custom made baby and doll clothes.

But I also make every kind of handmade clothing: Socks, Shawls and Stoles, Sweater etc. I mainly use patterns from designers that allow to sell finished items made from their patterns, but if you are looking for something special, I can design something uniquely made for you! Last year I moved from Germany to California and my American business was born: California Custom Crafts :)“

There you have it! Well? Did I promise you a few squees and did I deliver?

Don’t you just want a baby to dress in all this cuteness? Well if you don’t want a real live one, maybe a little reborn doll might help. 😀 hahahaha less diapers and sleepless nights, but still all the dressing up when YOU FEEL LIKE IT!

If you are an artists, or know of an artist you think deserves to be featured, please do let me know with an email, or a comment here. (You can also send me a message on FB if you like, or that is easier for you)

My featured artists will go on to be featured on three more blogs this month. First on  Louise’s blog, then on  Karen’s blog, and then on the Indie Mosaic blog! So you get maximum exposure! Since we all do different things you will reach different readers on each of our blogs and you really get your name out there! It’s really great. And best of all: It’s free! 1. I love, love, love the tiger outfit! I can’t believe how real those dolls look. I should of just got a couple of those and not had kids…LOL Just kidding! I lived through the teenage years so the worst is over. Now its just grandkids, my reward for not killing my teenagers.

  2. OMG!!! These outfits DO make me want another real baby, but it just wouldn’t be fair to the baby…can you imagine this poor child’s 81 y.0 mom going to her graduation? HaHaHaHaHa!!!!
Such gorgeous work!!!!! Thank you, Alice, for sharing all this eye candy with us. Bridgett, thank you for the introduction and another super, fantastic artist!!!
